El Lissitzsky and creativity

El Lissitzsky (1890-1941) was a Russian artist best known for his contributions to Suprematism and graphic design. Wikipedia says,
"[Lissitzsky's] work greatly influenced the Bauhaus and constructivist movements, and he experimented with production techniques and stylistic devices..." (Wikipedia: El Lissitzsky, 2.27.23 UTC 12:41)
The rest of this post is some quotes from Lissitzsky.

Creativity

"The printed page transcends space and time. The printed page, the infinity of the book, must be transcended." (Quoted in For the Voice by Vladimir Mayakovsky and Patricia Railing)

"At present we are living through an unusual period in time a new cosmic creation has become reality in the world, a creativity within ourselves which pervades our consciousness... in this way the artist became the foundation on which progress in the reconstruction of life..." ('Suprematism' in World Reconstruction, 1920)
