Can IBG be useful for organizing the world's information?

This post is a list of reasons why I believe that IBG (information blogging guidelines) can be useful for organizing the world's information. The information blogging guidelines can be found at this link. There are 7 reasons listed below.

1. IBG provides a standard for displaying information on a webpage to facilitate compatibility and cooperation across websites.
2. IBG packages information into small chunks or building blocks to enable the creation of new directories and search engines that use exclusively IBG webpages.
3. IBG is not limited to encyclopedias and encyclopedic content.
4. IBG can be applied to a diverse set of information mediums including quotes, citations, explanations, statistics and images.
5. IBG enables information to be shared quickly without commentary and padding.
6. IBG does not require advanced technology beyond a text editor and a webpage.
7. IBG is a set of guidelines rather than a protocol, so variation outside of the guidelines is encouraged.
