  • 1890: Began working at Museum of Industry and Agriculture in Warsaw
  • 1891: Enrolled at University of Paris
  • ~ 1894: Began researching at ESPCI Paris
  • ~ 1897: Began teaching at École normale superiéure
  • 1898: Discovered that thorium is radioactive
  • 1898: Discovered polonium
  • 1898: Discovered radium
  • 1903: Received Nobel Prize in Physics
  • 1909: Became head of Radium Institute
  • 1911: Received Nobel Prize in Chemistry
  • 1922: Became a fellow the French Academy of Medicine
  • 1922-1934: Served as a member of the League of Nations' International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation
  • 1930: Elected to the International Atomic Weights Committee
  • 1934: Died at age 66 in Passy, France
