  • Roman Empire was established by Augustus (27 BC)
  • Crisis of the Third Century (235-284 AD)
  • Western Empire and Eastern Empire were established (284 AD)
  • Constantine issued the Edict of Milan (313 AD)
  • Romulus Augustus was dethroned ending the Western Empire (476 AD)
  • Constantinople was conquered ending the Eastern Empire (1453 AD)
