This post is a list of the fundamental laws of thermodynamics. There are 4 laws listed below. License: CC BY-SA 3.0
Zeroth law of thermodynamics
"...if two thermodynamic systems are each in thermal equilibrium with a third one, then they are in thermal equilibrium with each other." (Wikipedia: Zeroth law of thermodynamics, 7.22.21 UTC 10:30)
First law of thermodynamics
"...version of the law of conservation of energy, adapted for thermodynamic processes, distinguishing two kinds of transfer of energy, as heat and as thermodynamic work and relating them to a function of body's state, called internal energy." (Wikipedia: First law of thermodynamics, 7.5.21 UTC 12:20)
Second law of thermodynamics
"The second law may be formulated by the observation that the entropy of isolated systems left to spontaneous evolution cannot decrease, as they always arrive at a state of thermodynamic equilibrium, where entropy is highest." (Wikipedia: Second law of thermodynamics, 8.1.21 UTC 22:18)
Third law of thermodynamics
"The entropy of a system approaches a constant value as its temperature approaches absolute zero." (Wikipedia: Third law of thermodynamics, 8.1.21 UTC 16:29)
