Belief analysis - deleted paragraphs

This post is two paragraphs that were deleted from a previous blog post titled Belief analysis in 2018.

By clearly stating reasons and pieces of evidence, I believe it becomes easier to identify flaws in a belief. In this way, we can discover that some reasons are false or have a weak connection to the proposition. Overall, I believe this method can help opposing sides in an argument understand each other more clearly.

This method  combines objective and subjective reasons into a coherent whole. When faced with a complicated real world question, there is never an easy formula to provide a solution. Instead we must weigh competing concepts and use our best judgement. This is how human reason operates when we think about complex questions.
